Money raised by running the Sharrow Vale Market three times a year is used to fund our community projects and donations to good causes.
We also apply for grants for some specific projects.
Members of the SVCA nurture and maintain this hidden corner of green and tranquility on Eastwood Road in Sharrow Vale. The pocket park enables you to enjoy the beauty of bees, flowers and wildlife. Come long to explore the features of the balustrade. A lovely place to relax while you eat your fish & chips.
🌳 SHARROW VALE STREET TREE LEGACY #4 🌳
Help us bring more green to Sharrow Vale & Hunter’s Bar! We’ve already planted 40+ trees, and we need your help to keep the momentum going for our next batch (planting Winter 2026/27).
The Challenge: This year, the SVCA can only sponsor one tree but with your help, we can reach 2, 3, or even 4 more! Every donation invests in our environment and community for generations to come.
The Cost:
£700: New tree pit & sapling
£350: Replacement for a vandalised tree
£20: Protective cage
Deadline: 31st March 2026 We must hit our target by the end of the month to get the order in!

Volunteers brighten our streets with planters and hanging baskets. These beautiful flowers are always in need of care and watering. If you would like to help, please contact us to find out how.
Fed up with the rubbish left around our streets? We undertake regular litter picks around the area and will advertise dates here. However, you re welcome to contact us to loan equipment in order to arrange your own street clean! Drop us a line.
Volunteers decorate our area with festive winter lights each year. See them in Hunter Bar school trees, The Lescar Hotel front garden, Stewart Road Car Park trees and on many of our street trees.
